Gift Box (2024 update)

Inspired by other gift box designes in thingiverse and elsewhere, I was motivated to create my own gift box design in OpenScad.

The gift box consists of the top and the bottom half of the box, surrounded by 4 parts of the decoration band. The decoration band parts are clipped to the box, so no glue is required.

The OpenScad design file contains many parameter such as size of the box, wall thickness, roundness of the edges and others. In order to change the shape, you have to edit the code (comment / uncomment the box type section)

You may want to print the thing two times in different colors and then mix the parts to get 2 two-colored gift boxes as shown in the pictures.
