Gingery Compound Slide

This is my take on the gingery Lathe Compound Slide. It is set up as a split pattern. You may have to sand it (depending on how good your printer is) in order to draw it. I used 320 grit sand paper to smooth out the edges and was able to cast the part. If you see pulling along the ware pads when you draw the pattern it is inside 1/4in part on the bottom that needs to be smoothed out with a slight draft (less than 1%). I used a scrap peace of wood 1"X1/4'X4" to do this. If there is any overhang it will pull the sand up onto the pads as you pull the pattern.

I have most of the lathes patterns model and will add add them here once I actually cast them.

The holes will take a 1.5 dowel to guide the two parts during ramming. Use parting powder the part before ramming. I used two long drywall screws threaded into the other holes to pull the pattern.
