This is a glider capo that allows you to quickly change which fret is capoed, even in the middle of a song.
I originally intended to use springs for compression, but I was not able to find any that were short enough, while still being strong enough to do the job. If anyone finds any readily available, please let me know.
So instead I used short rubber bands to hold the two pieces tight on the neck, and it works just fine. I also wrapped the rollers with electrical tape to provide some stickiness and prevent buzzing against the strings.
There are two different rollers for each part. For the "A" roller (the one that goes against the strings) there is a curved roller and a flat one. Choose the one that most closely matches your neck shape. Similar for the "B" roller. On my Taylor acoustic, I use the curved "A" roller and the Large "B" roller.
If you are using rubber bands to hold this together, leave off the "B" clips, and swap out the "A" spacers in place of the "B"
