GLOBE VALVE

The simulation results show that fluid flows from the inlet to the outlet through a valve chamber that experiences a change in cross-sectional area. The pressure contour shows high pressure at the inlet (red) and gradually decreases towards the outlet (blue) due to energy loss during flow. The sharp change in flow direction within the valve body causes turbulence and local recirculation areas, resulting in a significant pressure drop. This phenomenon is a typical characteristic of globe valves, which have good flow control capabilities but produce greater pressure loss than other valve types.
