The light spacing is 73mm, but if you have a set where the down strand was attached at significantly less than this, they are designed to scale horizontally. Mine were all 71 - 75 mm and didn't need any scaling. I used large Command Strips to attach these to my garage door on every other bracket (which is probably excessive). The bracket height is designed to take 2 large command strips vertically if you need for extra strength at the ends. Leave a 1 - 2 mm between each bracket for horizontal thermal expansion, especially if installing a 5 meter (15 ft) length.
