Bought a GPi Case these days, tried it out and found the D-PAD not precise to say at least.
It was binding and pressing UP made it go RIGHT or LEFT at the same time, or it was staying UP without pressing it.
I don't know why that's the case, and ppl suggest to buy an old Gameboy Portable and take it's D-PAD as it seems to be a bit bigger. And yes, the D-PAD is quite loose and wobbly.
Designing it in Fusion360 took a few minutes, and I printed it in around 30min.
I used 0.2mm nozzle and 0.1mm layer height to get more detail, and I really suggest you do it the same. 0.4mm nozzle will not look nice.
It's printed with the little know facing down, and a lot of support. But you will never see the underside of the button anyhow.
Now the D-PAD is super precise, and reminds me of the good old Gameboy.
