GRAVPAD

- The GRAVPAD system consists of special designed footwear sole and MAGTRACK (Magnetic track platform, details in the word file). - Each MAGTRACK acts as a node and can be controlled individually by a software installed on the touchscreen. - The astronaut who is wearing the footwear sole approaches the MAGTRACK platform and stands on it. - A motion sensor is installed near the GRAVPAD which detects human motion in the region and turns the MAGTRACK ON. The magnetic field of each MAGTRACK is adjusted by a Wireless touchscreen installed near the GRAVPAD or by a touch-pad which is already used by the astronaut. - The GRAVPAD system can function in multiple gravity environments (from 0 to 1g) without reconfiguration of the parts using the magnetic field controller to adjust the strength of the magnetic field. By practice, the magnetic field can be adjusted to allow the astronaut to walk or to remain in a fixed standing position on the MAGTRACK. The platform can be assembled to fit into multiple designs and shapes by means of the straight or arced MAGTRACKs. Isolators fitted with power cable and a data cable are used to connect the MAGTRACKs to each other for easier assembly.
