When reviewing the original shelf design, I wondered whether a 1×3 Gridfinity baseplate would fit inside the model. After measuring it in CAD, I found that it would not. Instead, I decided to design a new shelf with an integrated Gridfinity base, which is the version shared here. The shelf includes nine magnet holes designed for 6 mm diameter magnets with a thickness of 2.75 mm. These magnets press-fit well when printed on my Anycubic Kobra S1, though tolerances may vary by printer. If the fit is loose, a small amount of glue can be added for security. The shelf rests on the mini cart to prevent it from sliding down the box when items are put on. The width of the cart structure helps keep it properly supported. There is some play when items are on the shelf that pulls the shelf off the box a little since the magnets are not extremely strong, but it works well for holding reasonably light objects.I printed in PETG.
