The Guard Beacons are small single dwarf manned stations scattered throughout the Durakhaz Empire. Used both to denote the borders of the realms and to stake claims on particularly wealthy prospects. In addition these stations provide traveling vessels with opportunities to resupply and refuel, for the appropriate fees. Lastly the Guard Beacons possess an innovative forgery system, capable of the refit and deployment of Engine Drones, used in the enforcement of their positions on the absence of sufficient Dwarven forces in the area.
