this is a physical, feelable, measurement guide
when asked or visualising about 1-2 mm now you can feel it, flex it.
put a grip around 5cm or 10 not just a mark on a ruler
technically it is accurate 1mm mark on one side 0.5 on the other but seriously use a calliper.
