I use GW style round 25mm wargame bases for my collection of Bones miniatures, and wanted to keep a similar style for larger monsters. That said, I also like the aesthetic of recessed bases... aka puddle bases.
There are many collections of bases here on Thingiverse however I've had issues with all I've tried - most are inconsistent with the design of existing GW bases, some are not even consistent with each other, and many were made using TinkerCAD etc, where the arcs/circles are noticeably tessellated.
This collection of bases was created using FreeCAD and is my attempt to address each of the concerns I've had with the existing designs here on Thingiverse. My primary usage is D&D, so my focus is on bases that correspond to 1" diameter increments (plus 40mm because I've also used these.) I've included:
25mm (though this is pretty small for a puddle base, and probably not practical)
40mm
50mm
75mm
100mm
These are suitable for RPGs and wargames. If you would like a differ
