This is a replacement for the plastic front sight mount on Hammerli 480 pellet pistols. Remove the metal sight blade from the original and hold it in place with a dab of superglue (or something similar).
I made this because I wasn't able to unscrew the muzzle brake on my Hammerli, so I had to cut the original sight off in order to remove the tank (I had to replace a seal). It turns out, the brake is threaded on, but is held in place with a meaty threadlocking compound of some kind. I was able to remove it by heating it with a blowtorch, although this likely would have ruined the sight mount if I hadn't already cut it off. Ah well, I never liked the original sight mount anyway.
You will likely need to drill out the bore of the sight mount to get it to fit over the barrel. It should fit snugly, as there isn't a notch or set screw to prevent it from rotating. Slip the sight mount onto the barrel, and tighten the brass muzzle brake back into place.
