This is a bracket/support beam intended to strengthen the typical flex point on standalone hammock stands, that results in the arms of the stand bowing inwards as the bottom support rod bows downward towards the ground. This object supports the weakest part of the bottom support rod, keeping it parallel to the ground, thus reducing the amount of inward bow of the 2 upper arms. There are 2 versions in my print profile. A simple one that just fits under the bottom support rod, and another version that attaches to the rod with braces. 4x M3NS (square nuts) and 4x M3x12 screws are needed for the version that attaches with braces. The screws can be as short as M3x10, or as long as M3x30 due to the allowances I built in to the model. I printed in PETG-CF for UV and weather resistance and stiffness. Happy hammocking!
