Special thanks to Matthew S, over at Printables for his expanding ring mandrel model!: https://www.printables.com/en/model/632466-ring-mandrel/remixes
This device was created to make sanding and polishing your rings simple, quiet, and safe.
I personally live in an apartment, so using my rotary tool is not always an option, especially if you're a night owl.
I also want this device to help young ring crafters have an easier, safer, and cheaper way to make their own rings.
Although a 1:2 gear ratio is enough for me, feel free to remix this and add more gears for whatever gear ratio you want!
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
4 M5x30 bolts
2 M5x10 bolts
3 M5 nuts
2 8x22x7 ball bearings
~8 2mm washers (for proper spacing-- you can use what you have and tweak as needed)
Your favorite clamp for securing it to your workbench :)
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ASSEMBLY:
1) After printing out the parts, insert the bearings into their spaces. If they feel loose, hot glue can be used
