Sort of a remix of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3585407 but I redesigned it from the ground up.
This handheld drill press helps you drill 90 deg holes using a handheld drill. This fits my Dewalt DCD996. It should fit any drill with a ~48.75mm collar.
Hardware required:
2x - 1/4 inch diameter zinc-plated steel rod 8 inches long (https://www.homedepot.com/p/1-4-in-x-36-in-Zinc-Plated-Round-Rod-802297/204273961)
1x - 3/8 spring pack (https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-Zinc-Plated-Compression-Spring-6-Pack-16087/202045468)
1x - 1/4-20 bolt (I used 5 inch long)
1x - M4 screw >10mm long and nut
Drill out the holes of Drill guide - Top with a 1/4" spiral bit while running it backwards to carefully enlarge the hole until the smooth rods glide inside the holes. I added a little bit of paste wax to the rods to help lubricate them more. They should glide smoothly but be a snug fit. Use the 4mm screw to clamp Drill guide - Top to your drill.
