I ordered a grinder stand from Harbor Freight. Unfortunately when it arrived it didn't go together as well as planned.
The top casting has a tapered hole that fits over the vertical tube. Two problems prevent this casting from staying level when assembled:
1. The top of the tube does not rest against a flat surface. Perhaps it is _intended_ to, but due to the quality of the casting it cannot.
2. The tube sits in a tapered hole, with a single bolt to secure it. This forced the tube to an angle, as it pushes against the far wall of the casting.
I resolved this with two separate 3-D printed parts:
1. A cap for the tube, which provides a narrowed flat surface which can reach the flat plate for the grinder mount.
2. A sleeve, which surrounds the tube at the height of the bolt, keeping the tube in the center of the casting.
