A couple of years ago I built a HTPC using spare parts I had laying around including a 20 year old case. The case was missing the removable hdd cage so at the time I hacked one together that would do the job. I just purchased a ssd to install in the system and realized what a pain it was to swap drives with the current setup, so I designed a new one. I dont usually publish one off designs like this but thought that with some minor modifications others could get some use out of it. The dovetail in the mount is 50 mm at its widest with 65 degree angles. It takes 12 m3x10mm for the cage, 8 6-32x1/4 for the drives and 2 m4x40 to tie it all together. I used Tadziurski's 2,5' to 3,5' HDD/SSD adapter for the ssd. thanks
edit: Sorry I didnt get more pics but I was so focused on getting the system back up and running and forgot to take any. Besides watching football on cable this computer is how I consume all my tv and movies.
