Hard Shell Filter Mask

Note: this is a dust filter mask. Masks are not useful for the general public to use as a way of stopping viruses. Proper medical masks should be used by medical staff. This mask does not filter anything on its own. You must supply your own filter material for your intended purposes.

I had previously made a mask printed in TPU that could be printed flat and snapped together.

I decided that some users may not be able to print TPU on their printers so I designed a new Hard Shell mask that can be printed in PLA.

It is designed to require no supports and is thin and light.

It has a couple of different filter cartridges that can be used depending on the material you have available for filters. These are the same as the ones for the TPU mask I made.

There is no valve in this model as it only has a single Inlet/outlet port. If needed it could be redesigned to include two ports and valves.
