Hawk Signal

As an after school volunteer for the StarBase 2.0 Program, http://www.starbaserobins.org/our-programs/starbase-2-0/, I wanted to make a non-candy 'Trick' for the students of Huntington Middle School in Warner Robins GA for Halloween.
I was inspired by Dalpek impressive design of the iLove U Signal for iPhone, and I used his external geometry and dimensions, although simplified, as a guide for my SolidWorks CAD model.
I grabbed the school mascot from Google images, included in the pictures.
As a STEM mentor, this object highlights a few 'Sciencey' principles: focal length, the properties of light, but it also illuminates the soft skill of teamwork, with the school logo, the StarBase 2.0 and Huntington Hawks text.

The smallest object and action can be increased in size with a focused projection and attention.

Note on 3D Printing this thing, if you do not have a glass bed, or experience feature of size issues with the very small details, try increasing the scale to 1.3.
