I was very impressed of the HDD platter lamp and when I was fiddling around with the ESP32 also impressed of what a power full SoC the ESP32 is.
Thanks CosmicMac for this great idea!
Please watch out to my approach, of my multi tool lamp!
I had to enlarged the base and the lid slightly to fit all the hardware. So the modified STL files are also attached also the fritzing schematics and the Arduino project of my sources are attached.
Here the features of the HDDLampESP32:
1. I added a touch sensor GPIO form the ESP32 to the first platter to increase the brightness (long press) and switch the mode (short press).
The following modes are implemented:
LED_RAINBOW,
LED_FIRE,
LED_RANDOM,
LED_VUMETER,
LED_ENVIRONMENT,
LED_ALARM,
LED_KNIGHT_RIDER,
LED_WHITE_ONLY,
2. The VU meter mode shows the loudness from green (silent) to red (very noisy)
3. A Webserver will dump you the temperature, humidity and pressure to a graphical nice frontend.
