Well then you may be interested in the head saver. Using an innovative design that has been around for centuries, you can retrofit your child's bed to distribute the force of impact over a larger area, saving you money, pain, and suffering.

I printed these using 4 perimeters, 5% Rectilinear infill and a brim

I printed a set with 3 perimeters. It doesn't have the same strength, but may do a better job of dispersing the impact.

You will have to mirror one of the balls in the X or Y axis to have it fit the left and right side.
