Hearing Aid Battery Storage Disc

In 2022 the US passed a federal law requiring all button cell or coin batteries to be packaged from the factory in childproof packaging. While this is a good law that protects young children from swallowing small batteries, it has also made it extremely difficult for hearing aid users to extract their hearing aid batteries from the factory packaging. I designed this battery holder/dispenser to store 12 batteries, either size 13 or 312 depending on the print profile. A magnetic catch keeps it loosely in the “closed” position but requires little effort to rotate the top disc and extract a battery. This allows someone to open several cards of batteries at one time and load them into the dispenser, as opposed to breaking out the wire cutters every 3 days just to violently remove two more from their packaging. 2 size 6x3mm round magnets are required for the magnetic catch but not integral to the overall function of the battery holder.
