I wanted a tool to help keep heat inserts straight without having to build a complete heat insert press, so I decided to use a bubble level. This model accomodates a small round 10x6 mm bubble level from Ali Express, and fits over the handle of a common cheap soldering iron. With a level desk and steady hands this allows installing inserts straight enough to use quite long screws, and the tool doesn't occupy much storage space. The bubble level should fit into the socket tightly without any glue, and can be pushed back out easily thanks to the hole under it if the model needs to be reprinted for some reason. Mirror Version After using the basic version for a while I designed an advanced version to fix a major limitation: for precision the bubble level needs to be viewed from above due to parallax, but that makes it very difficult to see the actual insert to determine when to stop.
