Helical Christmas Tree

Hang a Christmas tree on your Christmas tree this year! This is a fun and challenging Christmas ornament that you can use to test your printer's capabilities this holiday season.


Instructions: The tree must be printed with the following support settings in the Cura slicer:

Support Structure: Normal

Support Placement: Everywhere

Support Pattern: Concentric

Support Wall Line Count: 1

Support Density: 5%

Support Wall Flow: 90%


Support Top/Z Distance: 0.5 mm

Support Bottom Distance: 0.2mm

Support Distance Priority: Z overrides X/Y

Support Floor Thickness: 0.2 mm

Support Interface/Floor Density: 1%

I know it's a lot, but these settings ensure that the support is easy enough to remove and that it still supports the print.

After the print is finished, carefully remove the support material and paint some details if you choose. Tie on a string or an ornament hook and you're good to go!
