Helical Jar/Container

I was staring at my boring coffee cup "pencil holder" and had an image of something more interesting. So I sketched this up and did a print again using the z pause feature of my Rep 2. The color scheme was lighthouse inspired as that is my impression of a summer vacation. The top view offers an interesting look, and maybe makes it so you won't want to put anything in it!

A word of warning though. It would seem that the Pause at Z feature has a bug (Both in firmware 7.3 and 7.4) that has it not working at heights >~83mm. It just pauses the print instantly. Accordingly I had to measure the top three layers with calipers in the middle of the print to manually stop and change filament. Perhaps Makerbot will fix this soon...
