Fingerloop braiding is a textile art dating back to at least the 1400's; it creates narrow ribbons by braiding loops of string held on the fingers of both hands. When pausing to put the braid in progress down, the loops can be placed over the pegs (loops from one hand going left to right, from the other hand going right to left) and then the top bar snugged down over the pegs. Then wrap the braid in progress around the assembly to store the yarn. The model is fully customizable; you can change the size and width of the pegs, and the separation between them, as well as the thickness of the bars.
