"Helping" Hand

This tool is an attempt to address the bulimia problem in society with irony. It resembles an index finger and a middle finger. Bulimic patients stick these fingers into his or her mouth to throw up. This reflects the unnatural habits that the contemporary beauty standards cause people to develop. Many individuals were and are still harming themselves to be able to become slimmer and more "beautiful". It is a small tool thus easy to carry without being exposed. This expresses bulimic patients' fear of letting other people know about their condition. Thus, it reflects how serious the mental illness is and how hard it is to find out before it is too late.
