Since I recently started painting some of my models, I wanted something that would help hold what I was painting other than my hands. These are available commercially, of course, but what good is a 3D printer if you can't design and make your own? I used these arms and they have very good grip and are pretty stiff:https://a.co/d/hVsLrOd The holes are designed specifically for these arms and they fit very tightly. Some press fitting will be required and they have a screw on the bottom that helps hold them in the base. I designed them to be pretty tight, knowing that I'd be using PLA and that will wear out some with time and use. Other arms may not work. The loops hold the arms when not in use and make it easy to store. I used 50% infill and 4 walls just to give the base some weight. If you're going to use it for soldering, PLA probably wouldn't be a good choice as this was designed specifically for painting (the model pictured is PETG, I wanted to test some new filament)
