Since acoustic panels seem to be all the rage these days, and hexagonal patterns also seem to be popular... combining them is a sure hit, right? Sure, you can go and buy them, but you will spend 4-5x as much as it would cost to just make them! In this video I will show you how to make affordable hexagonal pattern acoustic panels with some simple cedar wood and square acoustic panels you can find anywhere (ie. eBay).
To make these panels you will need some 1x2 wood. I used cedar, but you can use whatever you can find at your local hardware or lumber store. Make sure you pick nice straight pieces to start with. You will also need wood glue, and some brad nails.
Your wood cuts can be made using a mitre saw or a mitre box and hand saw. The 3D printed parts I used in this video can be found at the link below but are not necessary. They make the assembly easier and more accurate but you do not need them since not everyone has a 3D printer. You will also find the designs for a few wal
