Makes
Hex Tower Candle.
I made an architectural model. Then I turned it into a candle.
The center tower is 50mm x 180mm tall. The other towers are 45mm.
Print the molds with the half circle openings are facing up.
Each mold half has 2 rows of 4x 3mm holes. Either zip-tie or bolt the halves together.
Then wrap the whole mold with a sort of belt before pouring wax… so your aren't relying on just ties or the bolts.
Use the frame to locate the 4 wicks before pouring wax. I made a notch on one corner so the frame only aligns 1 way. I could not get info on ‘How big is a candle wick in mm?’
So I made the holes 3mm. Probably too big. Put tape over the 3mm holes and cut a slit for the wick.
I did model the candle with Draft = It tapers in 2 degrees as it gets taller. This is done to make it easier to pull plastic parts from the mold. I used draft here, but I can see it won't be easy to separate the mold halves to remove the candle. A flexible silicone type of material may be advisable. I am not
