Love this model! So many things you can do with it! I've tried various fabric models and this one is the nicest looking, easiest to print, strongest, most durable and most flexible. Props to the original creator!
I had an issue with the male pieces having some extra walls inside the little connection nubs, so I cleaned them up a bit. It was causing my slicer to create perimeters inside these areas, which doesn't affect the integrity, but I wanted to make it as clean and fast printing as possible.
Merged the male/female into two hybrid models that you can use to reverse the male/female pattern. This is useful for making complete loops that need to connect to other sections.
Made a square section in addition to the hex one. For making large objects, I found it easier to print the square section repeatedly and just connect them together. With the hex one, I found I was constantly popping pieces off and rearranging them.
Just a side note, I tested the force required to separate
