The hexagonal rock pillar is based on the basalt columns that are formed by slowly cooling lava. When weathered these can form rock formations, flat version of these are commonly called tessellated pavement. For additional hexagonal rocks, refer to https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4908397. The models have appeared in my YouTube video https://youtu.be/MENpbfTeKBE.

Print with up to about 20% infill. Print the 1, 2 and 3 layer columns without supports, and the full columns with supports.

The hexagonal rock pillar was initially modelled in Maya and then remeshed and cleaned up in ZBrush.

The hexagonal rock pillar has appeared in my demo game https://youtu.be/wspaapLo5rg and turntable animation https://youtu.be/ieJL2TUDN3k
