As you have to switch the batteries of the controllers for Hexbug's Battlebots often, I wanted a simple way to do that without having to use a screwdriver. So I designed these magnetic covers.

For each controller you need two 5x3mm magnets. One has to be glued to the controller directly at the hole for the screw. The other one will be glued to the printed cover. I used epoxy glue for that. Pay attention to the polarity when glueing the magnets, they have to attract each other.

There a slight differences in the controllers of different Battlebots. I added different cutouts on the bottom side of the cover, so it should fit on every one of them, let me know if something doesn't fit.

Use support only in the overhanging part of the cover. You don't need support for the bottom cutouts.

With this cover battery switching is very easy. Please share your makes :)
