### Clips for Hiking Poles with Hinge and Clasp

These clips are designed to securely lock around a pair of hiking poles while in use, so the weight-bearing pole carries the other one. The clips feature a captured hinge mechanism with loose tolerances suitable for printing at lower resolutions. When both poles are being held by the clip, the tension on the mechanism locks the clasp in place.

In the example photos, two clips are used for extra stability, but it is functional with just one.

### Why?

Many people with mobility issues use hiking poles (or similar) rather than dedicated medical devices like canes or walkers to help them get around. Those with fatigue issues in particular may only use a single pole to get around most of the day, but may need both poles when walking longer distances. Carrying the second pole under your arm is awkward and can make it hard to carry things with your free hand. These clips allow the second pole of a pair to be carried hands-free.
