I bought some Hillman boxes that were out of an old hardware store and used to store bolts, nuts, screws, stuff like that. The boxes/bins/whatever actually held the bits inside were missing or broken, so I had to make my own. I basically just changed the scale on the models I remixed. I liked how they worked in my Harbor Freight boxes, and I thought they'd work well in the Hillman boxes, and they do! My Hillman boxes are 132x270x40mm To make sure the lid always closed I made my bins all 39.2mm high. I made the following bins: 1/6 the width x ⅓ the depth, 45x43.8x39.2mm⅓ width x ⅓ depth, 90x43.8x39.2mm⅓ width x ⅔ depth, 90x87.6x39.2mm⅓ width x full depth, 90x132x39.2mm¼ width x ⅓ depth, 67.5x43.8x39.2mm¼ width x ⅔ depth, 67.5x87.6x39.2mm¼ width by full depth, 67.5x132x39.2mm½ width x full depth, 132x135x39.2mm Those sizes made sense to me, and seem to work well. Lots of combinations available with them. The original model had lots more skinnier bins, but I find I don't ever use
