I have included base.stl, a separate piece that is to be attached to the bottom of the long section of the bow guide, with some dampening material sandwiched in between. I have used foam/rubber pieces cut from these [furniture protectors.](https://www.slipstick.com.au/product-category/furniture-grippers/gorillapads/) This significantly reduces the scraping sound from the bow rubbing against the PLA which otherwise gets amplified by the violin body. Please refer to the final photo.

-----------------------------------

I designed this bow guide for my daughter, who suffers from left side hemiparesis, and plays a reversed violin, using her right hand for fingering and her left hand for bowing. She needed a bow guide to help support the weight of the bow and keep it in position by preventing it from sliding down toward the nut.

Standard bow guides require the bow angle to be quite precise, which was difficult for her to achieve with her affected bowing arm
