Hip Shot Sight

I love to play 1st person shooter games such as Call of Duty or Wolfenstein. Trouble is, my aim leaves a lot to be desired. I remember a few years back seeing a device called a Hip Shot Dot, which was an LED suckered to the screen to act as an aiming aid.

Instead of an LED, I have created a sight that I have suspended with a fine thread into the middle of my monitor. This seems to have improved my aim a little. It won't make you a prestige god, but it might help.

I printed it with a raft and very gently prized the printed sight off with a craft knife. I then used the tiny hole at the top to place a small wire through and make a loop. Finally, I tied a thread to the loop and stuck the other end on the top of my monitor with a piece of Blue Tack. This enabled me to fine tune the position. My print is slightly distorted but it doesn't distract unduly.
