HO Scale Coupler Box

This contains 2 coupler boxes for HO Scale modeling. They were intended for use with Kadee style couplers. These can be printed on an FDM printer!

The first design has an open top, and requires an Athearn style metal box to cover the coupler assembly. It does work if printed cleanly enough, but I would recommend the box with the screws.

The second design features the box and cover. It uses 2-56 - 1/8" round head screws to assemble. These are available from Athearn, part number: ATH99000. If you wanted to go metric, remix to use 2M, 3-4mm screws.

Note that these boxes are thicker on the back than required. It was designed to give the correct coupler height for a specific project I was working on. You could remix and move up 1mm if required.

Print them slow at the best layer height you can get.
