I wanted to make a simple terminal system for feeding my Ho scale model railroad with power. There are three variations depending on the goal. For basic feeder wire use the 3-screw variation. Power in, feed to track, feed out. For the end of the line or siding the 2-screw variation is used. I used the 4-screw variation for when I needed to feed to a siding as well as the main line.
Screws were lying around the house so I do not know the official labeling, but the major diameter is approx. 0.135 inch so about size American #6 from a screw size chart. Screw thread length is 0.325 inch.
Nuts are 0.305 inch wide and 0.108 inch thick.
The metal strips come from an aluminum sheet I had lying around. Any conductive sheeting should work, just cut it a little less than a centimeter width.
The holes in the metal strips were cut with a 5/32 inch drill bit.
Feeder wires are 18 gauge and clips are the red 18-22 gauge variation. Wires from track are 22 gauge and don’t use the clips
