Hood Flag Pole

Just in time for the 4th of July!

Ambassador-like flag pole mounts for your ~2009 Suburban.

This mount wedges between your truck body and the hood. It also straddles the rubber bumpers under the hood so It won't slide down the seam of the hood.

You may need to adjust your 3D object depending on how your hood sits. My hood rests a few millimeters higher than my body and this print accounts (mostly) for that. I use leather repair tape on parts that touch the hood/body to protect the paint and create a tighter fit.

If you don't have a tight fit on the body and hood, the pole will wobble left and right at higher speeds and could wear out faster than intended.

I used 6x9 motorcycle, polyester flags fitted for 3/8 poles. At the height of the pole, the flags do flap on the hood and could cause paint wear. For me, I drive a rust bucket and only plan on having these installed for a few days for the 4th of July. You could improve this by lengthening the pole, at the r
