A horizontal, lazy susan, spool-holder, drybox using a Komax 169 oz food storage container.
It uses airsoft BBs for the bearing.
It works surprisingly well for me. It still works even when tilted 60 degrees. Assemble it by printing the Race and 4 Arms then snapping them together (glue optional). Fill the race with airsoft BBs and put the Platter on top. The Retainer is attached with a #6 screw and holds the parts together. The Centering parts just set in place and keep the spool centered. They are provided for three size spool hubs; 51, 54, and 71 mm. Those happened to be the size of the spools that I have on hand. Additional sizes are easy to make. Desiccant can be placed in the center. Drill a hole in the box for the filament and, optionally, fitting of your choice and you're done.
The platters take some explaining. I had some old filament spools with detachable end plates that I repurposed for the platter to support the spool. That is what is shown in the photos. Since it
