Horizontal Garden Flag Mount

This thing is an alternative mount for large (24"+ wide) garden flags. Typically, we have a flimsy mount that a pole is placed in either an angled or semi-horizontal position. If you live in an area with lots of wind, the flag can get wrapped around the pole all too often. Yes, despite those so-called tangle-free solutions.

So, I created a mount that allows you to mount your garden flags in a horizontal position complete with spacers to keep the flag centered and a quick release mechanism for tool-free flag changes. Mounting the flag this way, so far, has shown that even the March/April winds of changing seasons won't wrap the flag around the pole.

The design accommodates poles with up to 26mm diameter. You will have to modify the .scad file if you need a different size.
