Horizontal spool holder

I wanted a spool holder that had smoother motion than the one that came with my printer. There are so many designs out there. I really liked the Creative Tools version. I did not trust my printer could produce parts that would result in smooth motion. So I found a small rotating platform made by Tamiya. It is made for painting models and the kit comes with two rotating bases:

Using this as a base I made a spindle. I used the same centering cone as Creative Tools (download the cone model from their link)
The loose filament spool was also on my list of things to print. Because I was not using their filament guide, the loose spool did not work so well for me. After a couple of tries I came up with the model shown. This one does great for a horizontal pulling extruder. I like to use paperclips to extend its capabilities.
