The Hörmann remote control, widely used for garage in Europe, has a tendency to break over time. In particular there is a weak spot where the silver part is encased into the main black body. After several attempts to fix mine with glue, and desperate search for a replacement body (and NOT a casing), I decided to design my own model.
This model is made for the ONE button remote (not the 4-buttons one).
Print body and caps in PLA or PETG and the button in TPU for higher flexibility.
How to assemble the new remote:
1 – From the old one, recover ONLY the circuit board with the battery (change it on the way like that you won’t have to do it in 2 months)
2 – Insert the circuit board battery FIRST (the battery should be facing up, visible from the whole)
3 – Push gently the circuit board all the way down, making sure it is freely sliding within the ridges
4 – Insert the TPU button from the OUTSIDE pressing it down till it fits snuggly
5 – Cap the remote with the PLA cap
6 – Test
