This is a case for the HT1621, 7 segment LCD's,
Sold in the uk by Hoby Components for just £3.99.

The hobby components web site has a forum with the arduino code on it to make using these displays easy, i used one of them for a thermometer display and another a clock.
The case is the shape it is (longer on one side) due to the connectors on the back of the lcd module that stick out the side of it, this version is plug and play, so the hole in the back allows the 6 wires that are plugged into the header pins to exit and be connected to your arduino,
(I made another version that is shorter and more symmetrical, but you need to de-solder or cut the header pins and solder on a 6 core wire for that version)
There are 2 versions of this case:
The 'Case no mount' is a flat case, allowing you to place it on any surface, but it is not fixed down (unless you use say double sided tape)
