Hummingbird Feeder Ant Moat

The design intent of this ant moat is to reduce the evaporation rate of the water barrier by reducing the exposed surface area of the water. The passage in the middle is sized so that the hanger can be fashioned from solid 12AWG wire. I left ~35mm of the insulation in the middle of the wire to control the height of the moat on the hanger.I maintain hummingbird feeders for my mother and am not always able to service them every 3 days. The ant moats that I printed from other sources were effective so long as the water reservoir was not allowed to dry out. This design extends the time the water remains in the water by reducing the area of the water exposed to the air and it collects rain water from the enlarged top surface. The shape mimics the shape of my mother's feeders, so probably not appropriate for everyone. The model is included to facilitate changing the shape as desired.
