HURT

©️2020 HURT is a kinetic mechanical heart model built during the COVID-19 lockdown, inspired by the human blood circulation system. The model uses 3 servo gear motors — 2 control 4 syringes (60ml each) connected via saline tubes, while the 3rd servo operates 5 valves at the top. The syringes mimic the pumping action of heart chambers by pushing and pulling fluid through the tubes. Design Notes: • Pulmonary arteries and veins are connected directly; lungs section is not modeled • Only one vessel is fully functional; the remaining are structural/decorative • Valves are positioned unconventionally for mechanical feasibility This GrabCAD upload is a reverse-engineered 3D scan made with Polycam photogrammetry using 150+ photos.
