My air conditioning condensing unit recently had a failed capacitor and the replacements I bought were the correct rating but larger diameter (2 3/8") than the original which was 2", so the existing strap clamp didn't fit. My bad ordering... but the parts listing at the site didn't have the diameter... Anyway, I kept them and made this new clamp to accommodate the larger caps.
Just use the hole on the flat backing to mount the clamp to your condenser's frame. Then use a 5 or 6mm machine screw to hold the new fat capacitor. I included a hex indent to allow using a captured nut... I glued mine in... so you can swap the caps out again with just a screwdriver.
The second thing file is a shim so the clamp will also work with 2" diameter caps.
