This is a hydro jet pool pump return removal tool. Metal tools online sell for $>60.00.
I have a tear in my liner and need to remove the pump return to patch the tear. Didn't see a point in buying a tool when I could print one that might work.
This tool has a hydro jet pool return fitting on one side and a 3/8" (9.6mm) ratchet wrench adapter on the other side.
I printed in PET with 25% cubic infill that proved too weak to keep the ratchet from turning in the printed socket. Probably would have worked better with 100% infill.
My work around is shown in the pictures: a 5/16" x 2in carriage bolt, a few 3/8 inch fender washers, a 5/16" torque washer (the gray one also known as an anti-turn washer), and a 5/16" hex nut.
I put the anti-turn washer and the head of carriage bolt on the fitting side, and ran the bolt through. Using the fender washers to spread the load, I then tightened down the hex nut until the carriage bolt was tight against the anti-turn torque washer and th
