I based this project on a study I read from Dr Yuichrio Takeuchi where he made 3D printed hydroponic mediums that probably work better than mine, but he used equipment and materials I do not have access to. So I figured out how to make one with my little Creality Ender 3 Pro and plain PLA filament. As it would turn out, 3D printing projects also become expensive very fast. Throughout the four years I have worked on these on-and-off; I have tried SBS filament (broke too easily); experimented with infill density (15% seems okay); and compared germination and growth rates of traditional soil, sponge medium, and my 3D printed mediums (mine are comparatively worse. But. They are a work in progress.). So here are the result of my labors. Little hydroponic mediums that can be printed on any FDM printer, with common f
